On Our Own

Stream-of-consciousness tales of a single mom and her two kids as we embark on a life-altering adventure.

new photos

I finally uploaded the pictures from our family trip to the beach. My two younger sisters, plus all our kids, spent several days at a friend's beach house. We had a great time at the Oregon Coast Aquarium, visiting several other area attractions, as well.

I'm still working on web stuff, but at the same time I've had one essay accepted and another essay query accepted. So I've been busy writing and editing. I'll let you know when there's a web link to pass on.

Oh my gosh, S and A are getting so big!!! Craziness.

Hm. I can kind of understand your frustration with your bangs. I think there comes a time in every woman's life when she must come to grips with the fact that she can no longer carry off straight-across bangs. This comes at different times for all of us. Your time might be approaching, hon.

Hi Teresa,
I'm sitting in my apartment at Hong Duc University where I am teaching TOEIC and TOEFL. I was trawling the Internet for Thanh Hoa sites and came across your Blog. This will be my third year in VN as a Teacher/Trainer (Hanoi & HCMC prior to Thanh Hoa) and I wanted to live in a quieter environment for a year so I applied for the position at Hong Duc. I too have a lot of writing to do although it's different to yours.
I'm living in an apartment in the same block along from Dung who you know.
I have the Internet in my room and am about to get Cable. I haven't met the rat yet in fact I've been assured that the place is vermin proof. The entire grounds have been dug up to make way for more buildings so getting from building to building presents challenges.
The market is fabulous.
Good luck
Jennifer
