so much to say, so little time
As my time in Viet Nam is (supposed to be) coming quickly to an end, I realize all the things I never said, the stories I never told. And y'know, I think Rhissa may have a valid point. Maybe it is publishable in some fashion, but there is so much to say still. I'll be doing a lot more writing once I get Stateside, both on the blog and working to find an agent and/or publisher for this crazy idea. May not work at all, but it just might. And it will make me feel like something was accomplished if I can get it all down on paper. Besides, could there be any better memento for Stuart and Audrey than the stories of the trip, compiled into a semi-cohesive whole? I think not. So, there... that's my next goal. A book, whether I find a publisher or not, that two kids will keep as treasures from six months of adventures, difficulties, and amazing moments that we'd never realized were possible and (just maybe) available to the public, as well.

I'll buy a copy ! Great idea, but the begining should be a short part about the struggles you had to endure to raise your children, support yourselfs, and the countless hours you endured to get the education to be able to make some of your dreams come true. Olts of cool pictures too. You know, kind of like "I had a dream". Oh well I rattle on too much :) :) . Write it and you have the first copy sold !

You got it. I've decided I will do it, whether or not any publisher is interested. I'll do it for me, for my kids, and now for you. :)
I think you're right about a lengthy introduction. It was quite the journey just getting to the point of leaving the US.
Hi Teresa,
You have another advance order!
Teresa, I am new to your blog and am in the process of catching up to your prior posts. Your writing touched me deeply. Thank you for taking me along with you, Stuart and Audrey's adventures. I am very sorry to learn that you are at the end of your time in Vietnam. I hope that you will get a chance to return soon.
Wishing you the best on your trip back to the States and hope that you will continue writing and sharing your life there. I am curious if and how your Vietnam experiences will affect your views.
A Fan of your blog,
Van
Van,
Thank you very much for your comments. I'm sorry to be leaving, too, but know that it is best for the kids. I want them to be happy and healthy and a short stay in the US with friends and family will certainly aid in that. We'll be back, though.
Oh, how it has changed me. Everything is different now. The way I think about food and choices and class structure and money and parenting and... It's all so different now. Sounds like the start of an essay. :)
